Derrek is an investor and operating executive who has spent his career in essential, route based service industries: HVAC, commercial docks and doors, pest control, event rental, pool cleaning and maintenance, portable sanitation, and others where the same things matter every day, dense routes, reliable crews, and contracts that renew on their own. Before founding Cypress Bay, Derrek was an investor at Trivest Partners, a leading private equity firm in the lower middle market, where he ran control investments in fragmented industries and worked directly with management teams to drive growth. He started his career in investment banking and graduated from the University of Florida.
